What signals does Top10Store.ai use to rank stores?

Five weighted signals: Google rating (40%), review volume (25%), locality / geographic prominence (20%), years in business (10%), and category-specific specialty signals (5%). Stores are scored 0-100 and the top 10 per (city, category) are published.

How often does Top10Store.ai update its rankings?

Monthly. A new ranking pass runs on the 1st of every month for all 10 cities × 10 categories = 100 lists. Each list is regenerated using the latest available rating, review, and locality data.

Are sponsored placements possible on Top10Store.ai?

No. Top10Store.ai does not accept payment for ranking placement. The list order is produced by the algorithm only. Stores cannot pay to appear on the top 10 lists or to influence their position.

What data sources are used?

Public business signals — Google ratings, public review counts, business address and locality, opening date / years in business, and category specialty information. Data is consolidated from publicly available sources.

How We Rank Stores

Every list on Top10Store.ai is produced by a transparent, weighted algorithm — not editorial picks and not paid placement. This page documents exactly how the rankings are calculated, the data we use, and how often each list is refreshed. Last updated: 18 April 2026.

The ranking formula

For each candidate store in a (city, category), we compute a score from 0 to 100:

The top 10 stores per (city, category) are published. Below #10 is dropped from the list each month.

Update cadence

Rankings are regenerated on the 1st of every calendar month for all 100 (city, category) combinations: 10 cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat) × 10 categories (Jewelry, Electronics, Clothing & Fashion, Footwear, Furniture, Groceries, Books, Sports & Fitness, Home Décor, Watches & Accessories).

Historical months remain accessible at archive URLs (/top-10-{category}-store-in-{city}-{month}-{year}.html), but the canonical entry point is always the stable URL /{city}/{category}/, which always shows the latest month.

What we don't do

We do not accept payment to list a store, change its rank, or remove it.
We do not feature editorial picks — every position is algorithmic.
We do not include stores without a verifiable physical address in the listed city.
We do not amplify suspicious review spikes — anomalous patterns are filtered.

Data sources

Top10Store.ai aggregates public business signals: Google Maps ratings and review counts, locality data, published opening years, and category-specific descriptors. Store contact information (phone, website, address) is sourced from the businesses' own public listings.
